When Is National Handbag Day?

National Handbag Day is traditionally held on the 10th of October every year. It celebrates the handbag and the joys it brings to so many people. We all love a good handbag especially ones that are beautiful, stylish, well-made and versatile. They come in a number of different styles including tote, crossbody, clutch, backpack, shoulder, top handle and satchels with every bag suiting a current need whether it be style or function.

National Handbag Day was believed to have been started in 2013 by Purse Blog. Realising there's no actual day that we can celebrate our obsessions with handbags, they went about officially registering the occasion and chose October 10th 2013 as the official National Handbag Day. Each year Purse Blog does some fun events and giveaways to mark the occasion.

What can you do on handbag day? Well if you love handbags are much as us then other than buy a load more you can take your favourite handbag, tote, crossbody or purse and take some pictures and post to your own or Pretty Purchases pinterest page or tweet to #NationalHandbagDay.
